JVST A Online
JVST A is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) for AVS. JVST A is focused on applied and fundamental surface science, electronic materials and processing, fusion technology, plasma technology, thin films, vacuum metallurgy and vacuum technology. The journal is published 12 times a year and is available online as well as in CD-ROM and paper formats (for a minimal additional fee). As a member, you are eligible to receive all JVST A and B issues online from 1964 to present just as they appear in the library archive hard-copy version.
For added convenience, you may also access JVST A and B directly from the green "Technical Literature" menu bar across of the top of any page in the site.
JVST B Online
JVST B is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) for AVS. JVST B is focused on processing, measurement, and other phenomena associated with microelectronics and nanometer structures. The journal is published 12 times a year and is available online as well as in CD-ROM and paper formats (for a minimal additional fee). As a member, you are eligible to receive all JVST A and B issues online from 1964 to present just as they appear in the library archive hard-copy version.

Physics Today Online
Physics Today is a monthly magazine published by the American Institute of Physics. This magazine contains a variety of feature articles, including reports on recent discoveries, editorial columns by distinguished physicists, news of political developments of importance to physicists, news from the physics community, and a vigorous letters column.
SSS Online
Surface Science Spectra offers convenient and easy access to spectral data from on-going international industrial and scholarly research. No other publication archives, in a systematic and uniform format, surface spectra for analytical use in laboratories. The only peer-reviewed spectrum reference source available, SSS provides detailed descriptions of sample history and treatment, instrument configuration, and experimental parameters--making comparison with your own data possible despite instrument or procedural differences. The Surface Science Spectra journal represents the hard-copy publication of data entered in to the AVS surface science spectra database. Subscribers can obtain individual records in digitized form for direct comparison on their terminal, workstation or PC so they can begin to build an archival database on materials of interest to their own work or research.

As an AVS Member, you have access to the official minutes for all AVS Board of Director meetings.
Roster PDF
As an AVS Member, you may down load a complete roster with contact information for the AVS Officers, committee chairs, division chairs, technical group chairs, and chapter chairs. This information is available for online viewing only on the public site under "Inside AVS". For privacy reasons, only AVS Members have access to a down-loadable copy in PDF format for their use.
Member Directory
The AVS Member Directory is online and searchable for the convenience of members. Please note that in order to protect the privacy of our members, it is not possible to download the entire directory. If you have need a membership list for an AVS function, please contact AVS.
Membership Renewal
You may take advantage of the convenience of online membership renewal. The collection of membership dues begins on
November 15 of any given year.
Personal Information Update
You have access to your own membership information and may conveniently update it online whenever necessary. You may update your personal contact information, including adding multiple phone, fax, and email addresses and you may also change your chapter, group, and division affiliations.
