If requesting publication in JVST, please answer the following questions:

If so, the cost range is $25.00 to $30.00 per book.


Regarding page charges, JVST supports this statement from the publisher: “Payment of publication charges is a vital contribution from authors’ institutions towards the cost of disseminating research results and should be regarded as an essential part of their research budgets. These payments meet part of the journal’s editorial, composition, printing, and distribution costs. Most authors’ institutions accept this obligation in full as expected, and AIP urges your institution to do so as well. Payment of publication charges helps to keep subscription prices low, thus maximizing the dissemination of your research results.”


Our policy is that JVST will send page charge commitment letters directly to authors initially before paper processing. The Editor-in-Chief may grant a waiver to an author upon request. Please contact the AVS Publications Chair to discuss the page charge costs if you have any questions.
