| Roger Shrouf
Roger Shrouf has retired as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Roger started employment with SNL in 1973 in various research efforts including ion implantation, various deposition processes, and low temperature research areas including electron paramagnetic resonance and super conducting magnet applications. These research efforts routinely involved the use of vacuum technologies and their associated pressure systems as well as liquid nitrogen and liquid helium. From approximately 1992 through 2011, Roger worked in the safety engineering organization at SNL, specializing in the areas of pressure, vacuum, and cryogen safety. Roger developed and taught the SNL pressure and cryogen safety courses as well as headed the SNL Pressure Safety Committee and represented the SNL pressure safety program within the DOE pressure safety community.
