| Woody Weed
Woody Weed is a systems engineer and project manager at Sandia National Labs. He previously worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the Spectra-Physics Corporation. He has twenty five years of experience in vacuum system and vacuum process engineering. He is currently working on the Z accelerator in the pulsed power sciences center at Sandia. He recently completed engineering the vacuum pumping systems for the National Ignition Facility, a laser fusion project at LLNL. His expertise and interests include vacuum system design, leak detection, partial pressure analysis, and material outgassing measurements. He has also taught vacuum technology courses at Las Positas College in Livermore, California.
